Education should not be allowed to be commercialised because it cannot be commodified in our country that has visualized education as an essential training for life, irrevocably integrated with our cultural ethos. So, affordability can never be the deciding factor in the choice of curriculum, pedagogy, evaluation and certification. On a higher plan, it is the issue of relevance whether the educational process prepares the child to function effectively and meaningfully in our social context which is more important than whether it caters to the carving of the elitists.
So, I strongly recommend that extreme caution is needed to make a judicious choice. The rapid changes in technology and the accelerated pace of privatization and liberalization have created a new and disturbing sense of uncertainty about the future in the minds of both parents and students. Education should thus respond meaningfully and effectively to address this crucial academic burning issue. Rishikul Vidyapeeth in its efforts to provide need-based quality education to the blossoming knowledge fraternity has decided to equip the children with pragmatic skills so that they can face the future with renewed confidence and matchless courage. The future holds both threats and opportunities in its store for us. I am sure that motivated by the spirit of wholehearted collaboration and co-operation, the Rishikul family is all set to take on the tough impending challenges in a heroic manner.
